We were approached by a lovely young family who had recently purchased a dilapidated house in Kitsilano.

The planned renovation includes stripping back the exterior and reconstructing the envelope to exceed today’s code requirements for thermal performance, air tightness and moisture control.

The interior will be completely revived, with the main floor becoming open-plan. But the most significant change is digging out a larger basement to add a spacious secondary suite.
